Outline VPN is an open-source VPN software created by Jigsaw, a unit within Alphabet (Google’s parent company), that allows you to set up your own VPN server. Outline uses the Shadowsocks, a secure open-source handshakeless SOCKS5 proxy-based protocol designed to protect internet traffic. Outline itself does not charge users and offers client applications for a wide range of devices, including Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, and Linux.
