Ksenia Ermoshina holds a PhD in science and technology studies from Ecole Nationale Superieure des Mines de Paris. She is an interdisciplinary researcher involved both in software projects (UX researcher at eQualit.ie with Ceno and Ouisync) and in academia (Center for Internet and Society CNRS and the Citizen Lab).
One of her main research intetests is the geopolitics of routing, and how armed conflicts and political events impact Internet infrastructures and connectivity. She has documented in details the political economy behind Russian surveillance and censorship technologies. With the eQualit.ie team she explores potential of decentralized tools as means of splinternet circumvention.
