dComms was initiated by eQualitie in February 2022 in response to Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The project aims to provide an alternative communication platform for internet users in Ukraine during periods of access restriction or censorship on the network.
dComms offers software and hosted services for creating federated small world networks, including social media with Mastodon, secure messaging with Matrix and Delta Chat, and various groupware solutions.
